CopBlocking Portsmouth, NH

Before MARV even rolled into the fourth stop on the Free State Friendship Tour, the local paper published a piece stating, “Cop Blockers Reportedly Coming to Portsmouth.” Since the reporter talked to the police and they knew we’d be filming, Pete decided to dress up and act like a reporter. I think this would have made a great video except that after this stop the police literally stopped driving around downtown. We didn’t see another person pulled over the entire night.

Portsmouth PD and Parking Illegally

Last year, almost to the day, I was in Portsmouth, New Hampshire with Pete. Beau and I quickly ran off to ask the officer about his double standards toward parking laws.

Win Liberty On Tour Swag!

That’s right, we’re giving away one of our cool LibertyOnTour.com T-shirts (or a CopBlock.org shirt) to one person who changes their FB profile picture to one of our graphics. Starting today, and lasting a week, we’ll watch our Facebook page(s) (Liberty On Tour’s and CopBlock.org’s) for people who change their profile pic to one of those linked below (see this example). At weeks end we’ll announce the lucky winner – don’t forget to tag as many friends who you think would like our projects.

Area Activists Join LOT to Cop Block Manchester PD

Last Friday Manchester-area activists armed with cameras, two-way radios and police scanners joined us and patrolled the streets in four cars and MARV. A couple days earlier we had made public our “LOT Watches the Watchmen” press release. Our mission – accountability, a trait that seemingly absent among the ranks of those working for the Manchester police department.

Christopher Micklovich

Case in point: two weeks before the patrol, Michael Delaney, the top law enforcement official in New Hampshire, concluded that those involved in the brutal beating of a man at a local watering hole a year prior wouldn’t face criminal charges because they wear badges.
