I am now in Des Moines, Iowa, after my 4th day of the 10 day caravan (I have completed 3 days of eastward travel out of 8 planned).

I have been updating my website, www.libertycaravan.org, every day but forgot to post the links on here.

Day 1 pictures, a few:

Day 1 pictures – all are on my flickr account here.

Day 2 report: Denver sightseeing and shopping on Sep 8.

Day 3 report: Denver to Kearney, Nebraska on Sep 9.

Day 1 travel details

If anyone likes to see the details of a trip, I wrote something about where I stopped and why, what I saw along the way, and describing the traffic problems a little. It also includes a link to a map showing the day’s travels. If anyone is interested, it’s a new blog post over on libertycaravan.org, here:

Liberty Caravan Day 1

I wrote up my first day of the Caravan over on http://www.libertycaravan.org/journal-blog/day1.

Basically, I did 5 hours of driving, from Dinosaur, Colorado to Denver, stopping along the way to talk about the Free State Project and take some photographs. My photographs are not included in the above link. It will take some time to upload my pictures, but I will link to the pictures when they are done uploading. I also had a meetup in Denver earlier this evening. For anyone wanting the nitty-gritty of my trip and meetup, I will post the detailed version tomorrow as well.

Liberty Caravan Plans and Goals

Tomorrow the Liberty Caravan leaves for New Hampshire.

On the eve of the departure of my Liberty Caravan for freedom in New Hampshire, here is the piece I promised about the goals and plans of the caravan. Pete Eyre touched on these  a few days ago, but I wanted to elaborate a little.

Goals -
“Goals of the Liberty Caravan: Help organize and give motivation to those desiring to move to NH as soon as possible, have fun while traveling, take time to sightsee (personally I will probably not be driving across the country again for a few years so this will be my last chance to see places esp in the middle of the country), organize meetups with other people interested or curious about the Free State Project, get more media attention to the FSP.” – from www.libertycaravan.org/info.

Why I am moving to New Hampshire

Why I am moving to New Hampshire

Hello, everyone. My name is Bryce Nielsen. You probably saw the piece Pete Eyre just wrote about me and my plans for a Liberty Caravan. Thank you, Pete. I will be posting on here periodically for the duration of the caravan.

I wanted to take the time and introduce myself a little and say a few things about why I am moving. Next post will be about my caravan.

First of all, I really didn’t have all that far to go to get to the ideas of liberty. I usually term myself as a libertarian, rather than as a Voluntaryist, perhaps I’ll go into the reasons in a future post.
