Liberty Caravan Plans and Goals

Tomorrow the Liberty Caravan leaves for New Hampshire.

On the eve of the departure of my Liberty Caravan for freedom in New Hampshire, here is the piece I promised about the goals and plans of the caravan. Pete Eyre touched on these  a few days ago, but I wanted to elaborate a little.

Goals -
“Goals of the Liberty Caravan: Help organize and give motivation to those desiring to move to NH as soon as possible, have fun while traveling, take time to sightsee (personally I will probably not be driving across the country again for a few years so this will be my last chance to see places esp in the middle of the country), organize meetups with other people interested or curious about the Free State Project, get more media attention to the FSP.” – from www.libertycaravan.org/info.

Why I am moving to New Hampshire

Why I am moving to New Hampshire

Hello, everyone. My name is Bryce Nielsen. You probably saw the piece Pete Eyre just wrote about me and my plans for a Liberty Caravan. Thank you, Pete. I will be posting on here periodically for the duration of the caravan.

I wanted to take the time and introduce myself a little and say a few things about why I am moving. Next post will be about my caravan.

First of all, I really didn’t have all that far to go to get to the ideas of liberty. I usually term myself as a libertarian, rather than as a Voluntaryist, perhaps I’ll go into the reasons in a future post.

Liberty Caravan 2 1/2: Utah to the ‘Shire!

Liberty Caravan 2 1/2: Utah to the ‘Shire!

Throughout history individuals have uprooted their lives and relocated to areas where they are better-able to pursue their interests and act without interference from others. They very literally vote with their feet when moving from places like East Germany to West Germany, or from North Korea to South Korea, and soon, from Utah to the ‘shire.

Bryce Nielsen, who is spearheading the convoy/tour Liberty Caravan 2 1/2 will connect with others at meetups along his Utah-to-NH route (to inform them about the Free State Project) and he welcomes others to join the caravan (either visit or move to the ‘shire).

Wrongly Arrested in 2009, LOT Set to Return to Jones County, MS

AUSTIN, TX – Last year when on the road with another project – Motorhome Diaries – Adam and I and our other colleague at the time, Jason Talley, were arrested when traveling through southern Mississippi by Jones County Sheriff’s Deputy James Atkins. Despite the passage of 16 months we have not yet been made whole from the rights-violations we suffered at the hands of Atkins and his colleagues, including Sheriff Alex Hodge, who, immediately after our wrongful arrests, issued public statements that essentially stated that he stood by the actions of his men.
