A month ago we shared with you the story of Jay Noone who, since refusing to pay the ransom demanded by the local organized crime ring in Palmer, MA, was threatened with the theft of his home. Jay didn’t quietly submit. By standing on his principles he’s gained more support and on June 28th – the day he was told his home would be stolen – he was joined by 50 supporters, and today he still lives in his rightfully-acquired property.
Here’s our write-up about that day: Theft Threatened, Jay Noone Stands for Property Rights
Shortly after that post went live YouTube.com send a message to us here at Liberty On Tour, informing us that someone had filed a privacy complaint against the video (posted below). Who complained? Someone wearing a badge? Someone pushing papers who believes their actions aren’t backed by force? We may never know, but what is clear is that the attempt to censor Jay’s story backfired thanks to a little help from our friends. The video was uploaded to dozens of other channels. It’s called the Streisand Effect.
Jay isn’t sitting idly by – he’s sharing his story and connecting with and inspiring others to stand up for their rights. As he concluded in a recent interview on Adam Vs The Man on how people can help him, “They can stand up for their own property. My cause is everybody’s cause.”
There’s a lot of us with ya buddy! Thanks again to you for standing with Ademo and myself during our recent trial in Greenfield.
