On our last day in Greenfield Beau and I headed to the local gas station to pick up a few things. On our way there we witnessed Daniel McCarthy, a member of the Greenfield police, make an illegal U-turn and park near our location. As we approached I turned on my camera because the day before this same officer chased us all over Main St.
I realized that the officer was merely playing a game with us (probably trying to bait us into a confrontation) so we decided to continue on. Upon leaving the gas station (located about an 1/8 of a mile away from first encounter) we realized that the same officer was parked on the opposite side of the street and facing our direction. This bothered me, as it would anyone who was being followed, so I decided to ask the officer what he was doing. As I came to his window he rolled it up and pretended he couldn’t hear me.
That’s when Beau and I decided to walk further down town, turn a corner and see if McCarthy followed us. At that time I started rolling the camera again and shot this video.
For those who live, and pay taxes, in Greenfield do you think this is the best use of time for this officer? Did you notice the double standards that took place over and over. No one who worked for the state wanted to help me identify this officer, not the Greenfield 911 dispatch, State police or Mayor himself! How are you going to fix this abuse of power, waste of money and intrusions on your life? A phone call to McCarthy is a great place to start, 413.773.1305 or email at mccarthy@greenfieldpd.org
For more about the Greenfield police department go to CopBlock.org/greenfield and/or watch the video below.

Did you ever stop to think that the vast majority of the people of Greenfield don’t agree with you? Did it ever cross your mind that they don’t want you there? Can you even fathom the thought that to them, you are a nuisance and they appreciate the steps taken by the police department have made and repeatedly make to make you feel as unwelcome as possible? This is why you’ll never make any progress there of any other podunk town in the country. You want to make a difference? Go back to the places where there is REAL abuse of power by police. To the places where there is a clear need for activism of this kind. Where you can get real attention by the people with the big cameras and an audience of millions. Where people really are oppressed, beaten, and killed by tyrants behind a shield. Or are you afraid?
A couple of years ago, New Orleans was a prime example of this. Where were you? The mainstream media was dying for someone like you to get to the places they couldn’t and film the action none of their cameras could get. That’s where you’ll make a positive difference. Not Greenfield. Use your head. If you make people take notice of real corruption, not inconveniencing troublemakers, the people of the Greenfields clear across the country will notice. Then, should you choose to go back to Greenfield people WILL question why you’re there and start to try to ascertain why. Your message will always fall on deaf ears until you can make an impact like that. You will be seen as a rolling joke with no punchline.
So I ask you….where’s the next New Orleans? Detroit?, LA?…Go there.
Yeah slave, just do what master says. Just like Bob said.
The best part is the surprise you all seem to genuinely have when the cops retaliate after you provoke them. You mock and consider it a form of slavery when the only reason you are treated the way you are is because of the things you do. In effect you are slaves, but you are you’re own master.
Bob, I live in the Greenfield area and most people do not trust the Greenfield PD and agree with the positions these guys have expressed. At least they have enough guts to do something about it. You can pretend to speak for the majority of people but you dont.
That’s just LAUGHABLE. Your view is most definitely not shared by the general public. This much I’m sure of. I don’t even have to know anybody in that town to know this. The police in that town are not unlike ANY other small town police dept in the country. You create problems where there was none and then bitch about it and call it corruption. That’s not corruption.
@Bob – the cops started it. The cops refused to let them videotape in public which they have every right to do. When they stood up for that right, the cops arrested them and now they are facing a bunch of bs charges. Going there and sticking cameras in the cops faces and demanding answers and accountability is not provoking them. That would be like saying you are provoking your teacher if you demand to know why he gave you an unfair grade. Or you are provoking your wife if you demand to know why she was at a hotel with another man.
They should have to answer for their actions. And it is corruption that allows a cop to give you a ticket for jaywalking because you stepped off of a curb because he’s trying to find someway to use the law to harm you – it is abusive and corrupt.
@ Tanya-No, they didn’t. The simple fact of the matter is that this has been ongoing for a while….most recently aggravated (deliberately) by the LOT crew when they refused to move their RV for a construction crew. now they’ll say that “they couldn’t find the keys” but it’s pure bullshit. At no point did the police say that they couldn’t videotape in public. They can, and they did as evidenced by the video. Regardless of any of that crap, what does it matter who started it? It’s a childish and immature position. All that matters is how it ends. So the cop is following you waiting for you to screw up. He’s sending a message that they are not welcome…which they probably are not by the vast majority of the residents of that small town. I wouldn’t want those idiots in my town either. I live a humble, happy life and don’t want some clown showing up to tell ME that my freedoms are being threatened and all cops exist ONLY to subvert my rights as an american citizen. It’s nonsense. There are clear laws on this state and country that allow me all the freedom I need to exist, as well as laws that protect what the LOT crew do. Laws that also enable me to neither agree with, nor support in any way their position. I am entitled to-and do-vehemently disagree with them and also agree with the measures taken to make them as uncomfortable as possible.
The jaywalking incident is a perfect example. It NEVER WOULD’VE HAPPENED IF THEY’D SIMPLY MOVED THE RV WHEN THEY WERE TOLD TO. To some that frequently these boards, that would be tantamount to “submitting to the master”, but in the real world it is simply just that….moving your vehicle. They made a mountain out of a molehill and bitched that their rights were being violated. The jaywalking ticket was issued because they were being complete assholes from the time that they were asked to move, to the moment they crossed the border to the next town. Was is abusive for the officer to issue the ticket? Maybe. But you can’t expect anyone to respond well to being needlessly pushed around. I don’t expect it from the LOT crew and I don’t expect it from the police. Ademo gave the officer every reason to be a dick and the officer took full advantage. That’s not corruption….that’s just being an asshole. In my opinion, they were both being assholes. And for the record, the officer has the right to cross the street outside of a crosswalk in the course of doing his duty. If he didn’t, then imagine what would happen if he were chasing a real criminal and the criminal crossed a street without using a crosswalk….I think you know where I’m going with this. Like it or not, a ticket was being issued and he had a clear legal reason at that point to do exactly what he did. It’s not corruption. If the average citizen stepped off the sidewalk, chances are near 100% nothing would ever come of it, but because the LOT crew were needlessly hassling the police and wasting their time, they put themselves in the position of letting that officer exploit every possible technicality in the law to give them a hard time. Again, not corruption.
But you know what REALLY bothers me about these guys? They don’t (at least Ademo-he’s bragged about it on other boards that I’ve seen) pay any taxes. They complain that the police are public servants, yet he doesn’t pitch in a dime to make their job-or the job of ANY OTHER PUBLIC SERVANT-possible. In my opinion that entitles him and everyone like him to none of the services available in this great country…Unfortunately the constitution disagrees. But think about it for a second…all the roads they drive that beast down-are paid for and maintained by OUR tax dollars….any other public service they use…paid for by us…if one of them gets hurt and has to use a hospital emergency room for a procedure they can’t afford…they receive care and we pay for it…If the RV catches on fire, who do they call? the fire dept…they are taking advantage of a system set up to protect them, and then complaining that it doesn’t do enough for them-meanwhile contributing ZERO. How many times have you heard one of them say something like “you are a public servant, aren’t you? You work for us. We pay your salary.”…but he pays NOTHING. And they have the NERVE to call police HYPOCRITICAL?…I’d say it’s time to find a dictionary. Voluntaryist my ass…it’s a front to give them an excuse to opt out of paying their fair share for services and freedoms that we all take for granted in this country. You want to live in a “voluntary” (anarchist) society? Go to Somalia….I’d like to see them try ANY of this bullshit there.
I’m glad they have as much trouble as they do with law enforcement everywhere they go. I hope it continues their entire pathetic lives. And should I EVER see any of them roll through my neck of the woods?? My first call will be to the police to make them aware of their presence….the next will be to the IRS. They are treated like criminals because they ARE criminals. Their “victimless” crimes are not victimless at all…we’re the victims. In my book, they are no better than the people who picket military funerals…only exception being that the Westboro assholes pay their taxes and have legitimate rights….which I guess puts Pete and his crew one step below that….
That cop is a coward.
That cop is doing his job as was given to him by the people of greenfield.
Dont mind “Bob”, he is one of the local Greenfield Pigs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was Ofc. McCarthy.
Every time I see that idiot post I will donate some cash to LOT.
That way the moron is actually helping you guys out…
Prepare to be disappointed. Not a cop. And you’re going to go through a shit ton of money for nothing. These guys are a total waste of time. They’re dead ends…all of them. They’re never going to accomplish shit but getting into needless trouble and they’ll likely just spend your money on pot and cheetos. You’re a joke asscore…a stupid, paranoid, unfunny joke. I will enjoy watching you lose money and ultimately find out these guys couldn’t be more wrong. So by all means, break out the checkbook, dumbass.
Oh, and did I mention that I’m not a cop? Well in case you missed that part, I’m not a cop. You’re contention that any cop would even bother to engage in a conversion with you, much less even know this site is here is funny to me. You’re ego must be HUGE….I got an idea, why don’t you publicly state how much money per post of mine your going to donate? Our are you just full of shit as usual?

Hey Bob, you’re an idiot. Thanks for being so obvious about it.
