ATLANTA, GA – Yesterday Adam and I got some new liberty-oriented ink from our good friend Leah Patrick at Shenanigans Tattoo Parlor in Auburn, AL.
It wasn’t our first time under Leah’s tattoo gun. For Adam, she was actually finishing a cover-up on his shoulder that she started in June at PorcFest. What had previously been a lone cross now shows many of the “vices” the State claims the authority to regulate – actions that Adam says will help lead to its demise.
For me, last year on the very first day of Motorhome Diaries Leah added the word “Sovereign” in black and gold to my neck when working from a tat shop in Jersey. This time around, I got the Tank Man – the iconic image from Tiananmen Square that shows one individual standing up to Statism despite the odds. (Props for this idea go to Radley Balko.)
Our new ink and many other awesome liberty-oriented tats can be seen on this Tats page I maintain.
Much love to Conan who not only welcomed us into his shop but is a cool guy we’re now happy to call a friend. Be sure to visit his shop when in the area, connect with Leah on her ‘Tattoos by Leah Patrick‘ on Facebook and check out the speech on Agorism she gave at the Tennessee Libertarian Party convention this past March.
And a favor for all y’all associated with the Mises Institute – feel free to inform others who drop by Auburn that Leah is right up the street. Perhaps next time you head there to present a paper or learn from some principled scholars you’ll schedule an appointment with Leah to very literally wear your ideas on your sleeve.
