Want to Help Liberty On Tour as A Point Person?

KEENE, NH -  We’ve been working for the past two months or so on a number of Liberty On Tour’s aspects including, our ‘ask’ video, route, social networks (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube), website and of course our advertisers.  With these tasks coming close to completion it’s time for us to turn our focus to meetup/point people.

To recap, Liberty On Tour will be traveling to 13 cities in 13 weeks doing a variety of things while at each location.  We’ll hold a meetup, embed ourselves with local activists and cover interesting news type stories in your area (present or past).  In order to be most effective we’re asking for point people to step up and assist us while in town.

What does being a point person entail?

  • Selecting a location for the meetup – We rely heavily on point person(s) to find a suitable location for our meetup.  We drive a 30ft RV that we like to bring to meetups, so there has to be parking near by to accommodate MARV.  We also prefer locations that don’t set age limits, but realize it’s not always possible, and have food as well as drink.
  • Push the Meetup – This includes adding the location and other details to the Facebook event, inviting your friends list, posting our sample text on line at high traffic sites like; craigs list, meetup.com, ect.  Email/message other liberty lovers, friends and persons of interest about the meet up.
  • Email/Call Local Radio Stations -  Radio could be a great, easy way to reach a large audience.  A week before MARV rolls into town drop the top radio stations around an email.  We even created a draft (coming soon to the support page) so you can copy/paste it, or feel free to write you’re own email.  If you wish, CC libertyontour[at]gmail[dot]com and we’ll send our release as well.
  • Be our Eyes/Ears on the Ground – It’s impossible for us to know every liberty minded person or story for each city.  We depend a lot on the point persons leads and suggestions.  Passing along information on interesting folks doing activism, local news stories, video ideas and local events are vital.  We’ll take any and all information/ideas we can get.
  • Post Fliers – We’re in the process of creating these (or you’re free to make your own) but when we do they’ll be posted at the support page.  It would be great have a round or two of these put up around town before we arrive.  The sooner we let people know Liberty On Tour is in town the more likely we are to expose them to true liberty.  Again, we’ll do this as well when we arrive.

We suggest looping in friends and other liberty lovers to share these task, we’ll help you as much as we can from the road and when we get to town, but teaming up is the way to go.  Of course you don’t have to be a point person to give us any sort of suggestions simply contact us. For those who are interested please email us at libertyontour[at]gmail[dot]com.  Thanks in advance and we’ll see you soon.
